By integrating Cisco ISE with Active Directory, we provide the customer with a single source of truth for user identity.  Each user would then authenticate based on the group(s) the user belongs to and be granted network privileges accordingly.  With the level of sensitive information in the financial institution’s network, we needed not to rely solely on user credentials for authentication, so we implemented certification authentication to validate the identity of both the user and the device.

Cisco ISE brought our customers a new level of user and device visibility.  Valuable information such as who is connected, from where, and what policies are being enforced allowed our customers to easily troubleshoot and identify devices struggling to authenticate and proactively react to devices not compliant with corporate policies.
